According to a reporter from Corbett Radio, Ancelotti decided to let Vinicius serve as Real Madrid's first penalty kicker.

So far this season, Real Madrid has received a total of 11 penalty kicks in all competitions, taken by three players, namely Vinicius (3 of 3 penalty kicks), Mbappe (3 of 5 penalty kicks) and Bellinge Tom (1 of 2 free throws).
