Enzo Maresca has been speaking after Chelsea's 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. A game that they led up until the 82nd minute when Palace found an equaliser through Jean-Phillipe Mateta. Here's what he had to say:
On whether his side lacks clinical edge: "In football, you need to be clinical; otherwise, the game remains open, especially in a tough stadium like this,"
On poor festive period: "This phase of the season happens to every team," he explained. "Sometimes you can’t win games due to various reasons. Today, the issue was not being clinical enough. If we had scored a second goal, the game would have been finished."
On Nicolas Jackson form: "The important thing is that Nico is getting into the right positions. He had two or three clear chances today, which shows he’s ready,"
