Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca says Josh Acheampong was his side's best player on his first Premier League start during their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
The 18-year-old came into a much-changed Chelsea side as they looked to bounce back from a dismal run over the festive period.
Despite failing to win after leading for the majority of the match at Selhurst Park, Maresca was impressed with the academy graduate's display.
"All the players were good today but if I had to decide for one, Josh was the best player," Maresca said after the game.
"He can be a top player for this club. We decided today because we saw he was ready. Today he showed how good he is.
"Even if we don't decide to buy players or sell players, we already knew Josh was good enough.
"But with Benoit [Badiashile] and Wesley [Fofana]'s injuries, we will see if something can happen."
