Ruben Amorim has revealed Arsenal are the best team his Manchester United team have faced “by far” but wants his team to be brave at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
After two wins and a draw in his opening three games, Amorim takes his team to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
The Portuguese coach eliminated Arteta’s Arsenal from the Europa League two years ago on penalties but now in United colours, Amorim comes up against a Gunners side who have scored 13 goals in their last three games.
“It’s the best team that we have faced by far. But a test is every game,” Amorim said. “If you saw the last game [against Everton], it was really tough.
“Everything is a test now without so many minutes to train, trying to manage the numbers of minutes for a lot of players.
“You cannot try to imagine one game, you have to know that some players have to be out of the pitch in 60 to 70 minutes.
“It’s hard, everything is a test. But Arsenal, and I know it’s hard of someone from Manchester United to say, but they’re in a different point of their team. They are in a different moment.
“It’s important to be brave [on Wednesday night], when I say it’s brave it’s not pressing all the time higher. It’s not the same.
“You have to understand the game, the moments of the game. We need to have the ball, that is a key point. We want to have the ball, we want to dominate some moments of the game, because you know these matches it’s hard to control all the game. We have to be brave and play the game.”
