Match preview
After two 2-2 draws against OGC Nice and Ajax, Twente finally got their first win in three matches, beating Fortuna Sittard 2-1 on Sunday.
Two goals from Sem Steijn and Ricky van Wolfswinkel were enough to secure the win for Joseph Oosting's team. However, they were beaten 1-0 by Royal Union SG in their fifth Europa League group match on Thursday.
If Twente are to make it through to the knockout stages of the new-look continental tournament, they'll need a bit of luck. Their domestic campaign has been decent, though, with the Tukkers sitting fifth in the Eredivisie table.
Even though they haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last four matches, Twente have conceded fewer goals this term (12) than any other team in the division, apart from PSV Eindhoven (nine) and Ajax (11).
Next week, Sunday's hosts will have their defensive resolve tested by a free-scoring PSV side. But for now, the focus is on securing all three points against Go Ahead Eagles.
Go Ahead Eagles are feeling pretty good about themselves after ending a four-game winless streak last time out. They'll be riding high going into their next game after Saturday's 3-0 win over Almere City.
Mats Deijl got the first goal within 15 minutes, setting Paul Simonis's team up nicely. Then Oliver and Victor Edvardsen scored either side of half-time, wrapping up the win in style.
The team has 18 points from 13 matches so far, which is four points fewer than they had at this same stage last season. However, they're still in contention for European football this term.
However, Go Ahead Eagles will need to improve at both ends of the field. They've conceded the most goals of any team in the top 10 (20), and their attacking output of 18 goals scored is only better than Sittard (14) in the top half.
If history is anything to go by, Sunday's visitors are in for a tough time this weekend. They haven't won any of the most recent seven meetings, including two defeats last season by a combined score of 6-1.

Team News
Younes Taha is Twente's only sure thing to miss out on this one, as the Moroccan is still nursing a shin injury that's kept him out since mid-September.
After netting a goal and setting up another versus Fortuna, Sem Steijn has now been directly involved in 12 of his side's 26 league goals so far. He's one to watch.
Soren Tengstedt has recovered from his knee problem and is expected to play again this weekend, having made his comeback with a 23-minute cameo against Almere.
Despite a slow start to the season, Victor Edvardsen delivered a standout performance last time out and will be aiming to replicate that success.
