Solihullvs.Bromley

Match preview

Solihull have been on a roll since the end of September, losing just once in 10 matches, which was away at Gateshead.

However, they've lost five games in a row now, undoing all their hard work. They're now five points off the top six.

Andy Whing's side lost 4-3 at home to Hartlepool United. They were 3-2 up within six minutes but then Hartlepool came back to win.

Solihull then suffered a 1-0 defeat at Sutton United on Tuesday night, which was just the second time since 7 September that they failed to score.

Solihull has been lucky so far, with Altrincham and Maidstone United each being defeated, which means they're now just one match away from a potential money-spinner in January.

Meanwhile, Bromley can be pleased with their performance so far in their first season in League Two, with five consecutive unbeaten games.

Four of those games ended in draws, but Andy Woodman's side deserved more, especially at Walsall midweek when they were the better team for large periods.

Even so, it'll still be seen as a point gained, sitting four points above the relegation zone and with just a -2 goal difference, which could prove pivotal moving forward.

Bromley won a real thriller at Rochdale to reach this stage of the competition. They scored twice in added time to win 4-3.

Team News

Even though they lost midweek, it's unlikely that Whing will make too many changes to his Solihull XI.Ollie Tipton and Matt Warburton are both options to come into defence and midfield, respectively, but Conor Wilkinson will lead the line, having scored four times in his last three games.

Carl Jenkinson could be back in the side after recently serving a suspension and remaining on the substitutes' bench in midweek.

However, Woodman may decide there's no need to make any changes to a team that created a lot of chances against Walsall.Another option is Cameron Congreve, who could come on to help create chances in the final third.
