Match preview
Marseille will be hoping that things will go better for them at home in the new month than they did in October and November.
OM have only picked up one point from their last three league games at Stade Velodrome. Their last home win was on 14 September against Nice (2-0).
If they lose again this weekend, it'll be the first time they've suffered three league defeats in a row at home since January-February 2021.
Of all the Ligue 1 teams that have played in Marseille more than once this century, Monaco is the one that the OM have beaten the least at home (25%), winning just five of the 20 league games.
De Zerbi's defence has been particularly leaky in front of their home supporters, conceding three goals in each of their previous two league games at Stade Velodrome.
After 12 Ligue 1 matchdays this season, Marseille have picked up 23 points, 10 more than they had at this stage of the previous campaign.
Monaco had a tough start to November domestically, losing 1-0 to Angers. However, they finished strong, winning two consecutive league matches.
Les Monegasques have scored three goals in two consecutive matches in this competition, but they suffered their first competitive defeat of 2024-25 when they scored multiple times on Wednesday. They lost 3-2 in Champions League action versus Benfica.
Monaco have only lost once away in the competition this season (2-1 at Nice) and have conceded the second-fewest goals as visitors in Ligue 1 so far (four).
In their last four domestic games, they've let in six goals, one more than in their previous 11 top-flight games. They haven't let in two or more in consecutive league games since March.
After 12 top-flight games in 2024-25, Adi Hutter's team has picked up two more points than they had at this stage of the competition last season.
In the last three meetings between these two clubs at Stade Velodrome, the visitors managed to get at least a point while losing just one of their last five Ligue 1 games against them (3-2 at Stade Louis II in 2022).
