"I'm very pleased to reach this number, it's the most special thing", he explained on Realmadrid TV.
Ceballos made his 100th La Liga appearance for Real Madrid in the game against Leganés at Butarque. The midfielder, who started, reached this milestone in his sixth season at the club and has recorded 73 wins in a competition he has won twice (2022 and 2024).
The Spanish international, having played 154 official matches with Real Madrid, has won 15 trophies with our club. The teams he has faced the most times in La Liga are Celta, Betis and Alavés (7).
Ceballos spoke to Realmadrid TV after the game: "I'm very happy to have made 100 La Liga appearances for this club, it's the most special thing. I've also been able to celebrate it by starting the game and winning it. We've got a very important game on Wednesday in the Champions League and we're going to go for the win".
"We put in a complete performance from start to finish. It was a tough game because we had players coming back from international duty but the team is getting more and more solid and working better defensively. You can see that in the result".
Individual performances
"I'm very happy. I've been working hard for a long time following the injury I picked up against Betis. I'm making the most of the minutes I'm getting and I'm happy to have started today and to have got the win".
Valverde
"I would like to congratulate him for his first game as captain. It's not going to be the first or the last, there's a lot to come. He's been working for a long time from the youth academy and he deserves it. It doesn't matter where he plays, he always delivers. He's an inspiration for everyone".
