Real Madrid and Manchester United could battle it out for the signature of Ademola Lookman next summer, who has a €70 million price tag.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid have entered the race for Atalanta ace Ademola Lookman with the view of bringing the attacker next summer. The Nigerian star has many other suitors queuing up in the background, including Manchester United, as the versatile forward will cost at least €70 million.
Atalanta will review their squad after the current season ends, as there will be a number of big sales to ponder on. One of the main stars that could leave the club is Ademola Lookman, as he’s done nothing to make Atalanta sell him on the cheap.
A host of clubs are interested in the attacker, with Atalanta set to demand at least €70 million for him. The Nigerian international was instrumental last season when he scored a hattrick in the Europa League Final and has started the season brilliantly, with 10 goal contributions in 9 Serie A games.
Lookman’s current deal expires in the summer of 2026, although Atalanta will have the option to extend it by another season. His next move could be the biggest of Lookman’s career, and given the choice of clubs chasing his signature, the Nigerian is set for a big role elsewhere.
Manchester United are one of those chasing his signature, as the attacker will only be made available next summer. The Red Devils are in the market for notable targets. While Lookman does not fit into their recently adapted transfer policy for his current age, the club might make an exception, given the quality he brings to the table.
Real Madrid will rival Manchester United for Lookman
Manchester United could have a big shout-out for Lookman, especially if they make it to the Champions League. There are other teams, but Real Madrid could be the most glamourous side on a long list of suitors, as Florentino Perez has eyes for the Atalanta man.
The €70 million-rated attacker is seen as a big addition to the current setup, which boasts the likes of Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Rodrygo Goes. Lookman will have to battle either of those to get a place in the starting lineup, although he has the hunger to make that happen. Real Madrid view his signing as a big sign of ambition, as they might still look to negotiate on the price.
