Tottenham could be without both frontline centre-backs for Saturday's match at Manchester City.
Cristian Romero is a doubt for the trip to the Etihad after he was replaced at half-time in Argentina's defeat to Paraguay during the international break with what appeared to be a foot injury. He was then given leave to be at the birth of his daughter earlier this week and missed the match against Peru.
Micky van de Ven remains sidelined and is still a couple of weeks away from making his return following a hamstring injury.
Head coach Ange Postecoglou is hopeful the Dutch defender will be available by the middle of December.
