QPR vs Middlesbrough
Match preview
QPR have a record of one win, seven draws and five losses from their 13 Championship matches this season, with a total of 10 points, putting them in 23rd place, just one point ahead of basement side Portsmouth.
Marti Cifuentes's side will be going into this match on the back of a goalless draw with Sunderland. They've shared the points in their last three matches, drawing with Coventry City and Burnley since losing 2-1 at home to Portsmouth.
The draws against Burnley and Sunderland will have given QPR a boost, but they haven't won in England's second tier since they beat Luton Town at the end of August.
The Hoops finished 18th in the Championship last season, and they haven't been in the Premier League since the 2014-15 campaign. They've spent each of their last nine seasons in England's second tier.
Middlesbrough have won two of their last three Championship matches against QPR, including a 2-0 victory when the two teams met in the corresponding match during the 2023-24 season.
Michael Carrick's team finished eighth in the Championship last season, just four points off the play-off spots. They're expected to challenge for promotion to the Premier League next season.
Boro have picked up 18 points from their opening 13 games of the season, which has left them in 10th spot in the table, just three points behind sixth-placed West Bromwich Albion.
Middlesbrough will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 home defeat to Coventry, which was their third loss in their last five league games. They've only managed to win once during that period, which was at home to Sheffield United.
If Boro want to finish in the playoff spots, they'll need to find some consistency in the months ahead. They'll be looking to get victories over QPR and Luton in their final two matches before the November international break.

Team News
Just to give you a heads-up, Harrison Ashby, Michael Frey, Kenneth Paal, Jack Colback and Liam Morrison won't be playing on Tuesday.
Ashby had to come off in the second half of Saturday's game against Sunderland, which means Hevertton Santos could get a start in the home game against Middlesbrough.
Nicolas Madsen has scored two goals this season, so he'll be in the final third of the field. Zan Celar and Ilias Chair are also expected to start in the Championship contest.
Middlesbrough will be without Lukas Engel, Alex Gilbert, Darragh Lenihan, Tom Smith and Alex Bangura through injury, while Hayden Hackney is suspended for the clash with QPR.
Hackney was sent off in the 22nd minute of Saturday's clash with Coventry after picking up two yellow cards in quick succession, so it's likely that Jonny Howson will be in the starting side.
Tommy Conway has been the team's top goal scorer this season, finding the back of the net on four occasions in nine appearances. The 22-year-old will again lead the Boro line on Tuesday night.
Possible starting lineups
Queens Park Rangers possible starting lineup:
Nardi; Dunne, Cook, Field; Smyth, Varane, Morgan, Santos; Madsen, Celar, Chair
Middlesbrough possible starting lineup:
Dieng; Ayling, Edmundson, Clarke, Borges; Morris, Howson; Jones, Azaz, McGree; Conway
