Neymar is finally back on the pitch! The Brazilian star returned to Al Hilal after more than a year out as the Saudi champions beat Al Ain with 5:4 in the AFC Champions League
Neymar returned to the pitch after a year out due to injury, helping Al Hilal to a thrilling 5-4 win over Al Ain.
Not long after joining Saudi Arabia, Neymar was injured and has now been out for a year, but he finally recovered from a cruciate ligament injury yesterday and almost scored a goal.
The Brazilian international almost ruptured his cruciate ligament in an international match a year ago, but on Monday, he returned to the pitch with the Saudi Pro League team to win over the UAE club in the AFC Champions League. The 32-year-old came on in the 77th minute to boost morale.
Neymar has had a difficult year since injuring his left knee. He moved to the Saudi team from Paris Saint-Germain for a huge transfer fee in the summer of 2023, but the transfer has not yet gone as planned. However, the former Barcelona star hopes this is a promising start.
Al Hilal Football Club currently tops the Saudi Professional League with a record of seven wins from seven games. They will host Al Tawan Football Club at home on Saturday, which may be another opportunity for Neymar to get more playing time.
