Could Napoli be signing another player? It looks like Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell is on his way to Serie A. He's expected to join Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour at Napoli.
Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Chilwell as they look to bring in another Premier League star.
Napoli are interested in Ben Chilwell, who wants to leave Chelsea and could sign on loan in January. Chilwell hasn't had much game time since he came back from injury this season. He's only played once in the EFL Cup, for 45 minutes.
It seems that Chilwell has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge following a significant change in the squad and tactics under Enzo Maresca. He has now been told to leave in the summer. He's since returned to the team, but he might have trouble getting regular game time this season, so he could be on the move in January.
The Sun says Napoli are interested in signing Chilwell this season because Antonio Conte is thought to be impressed by the England international. It seems that the Serie A side might loan Chilwell in January this year, with a view to making the move permanent in the summer of 2025.
The Italian giants have been on the lookout for new players from the Premier League since Conte joined the club this summer. Napoli brought in Scott McTominay from Manchester United and Billy Gilmour from Brighton over the summer, and both have done well this season.
It looks like the England international will be playing in Chelsea's next game against Liverpool on Sunday, 20 October. It's not yet clear whether he'll get any playing time.
