Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly in negotiations to become England's next national coach following the Three Lions' loss to Greece.

According to Bild journalist, Christian Falk, the former Bayern Munich manager is in negotiations for the England manager job. This comes less than a day after the Three Lions, managed by interim boss Lee Carsley, lost 2-1 to Greece in the Nations League.

Carsley cast doubt on his England future after saying he would "hopefully" go back to managing the under-21s, but that the Greece loss would have "almost no impact" on his chances of getting the senior role permanently. Tuchel has been linked with the England job before - one that Gareth Southgate successfully presided over for nearly eight years. Whether the Football Association try to secure Tuchel's services remains to be seen.

Tuchel, who has also been linked with Manchester United amid Erik ten Hag's struggles at Old Trafford, is looking for work after leaving Bayern at the end of last season. As a manager, he has won the Champions League with Chelsea and a host of trophies at Paris Saint-Germain, among other successes.

Amid all this speculation about Carsley's future, and more, England return to Nations League action on Sunday night when they travel to Finland in their fourth match of League B Group 2.
