The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League, falling behind within three minutes in a catastrophic performance, resulting in more calls for United to sack the Dutch coach six weeks into the season.
United have won just two games in the league this season, having collected eight points from six matches, while their Europa League campaign got off to a disappointing start as they drew 1-1 with Twente last week.
Ten Hag insists his team are angry after the weekend's defeat and he urged them to put their "madness" to good use when they take on Porto on Thursday. He told reporters: "Always, when we are not winning we are disappointed and we are also mad with ourselves. We are mad, mad with ourselves, especially when you lose a game like Sunday... but you have to deal with it. We are mad, and from the madness we have to get motivation."
United are without a win in their last three matches and will hope to bounce back with a win in Portugal. However, the team's preparations were disrupted when their flight was delayed.
