Per The Athletic, the Gunners and Los Blancos have approached the club and Reis' representatives to enquire about the player's availability. The Brazilian giants have reportedly included a €100million (£83m/$110m) termination clause in his contract, however, they are yet to set an asking price for the 18-year-old, who recently signed a new deal with Palmeiras that keeps him at the club until December 2028
The report further claims that Palmeiras are planning to retain the services of their star centre-back at least until the end of the Club World Cup next year. Other than Arsenal and Real, European giants like Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona are also reportedly keen on roping in the teenager.
Reis, who made his senior debut for the Brazilian side this June, has already appeared in 15 matches across all competitions where he has scored twice. His playing style has been compared to his compatriots Eder Militao and Marquinos.
For now, the youngster remains focused on his current club and will be next seen in action on Sunday as Palmeiras face Bragantino in a Brazilian Serie A clash.
