Antony proposed to Silva as he created an elaborate setup with roses laid out on a red carpet and a heart-shaped flower arrangement at the end of the hall with a sign that read, 'Marry me?'. The couple announced their engagement on Instagram, with one of the photos showing Antony down on one knee.

The duo posted the engagement photos on Instagram with Silva posting the message: "What God has in store for us is far more than we can imagine..."

Silva and Antony met when they were just teenagers, according to The Sun, meeting during their time at school in Sao Paulo. As Antony began to rise through the youth teams, their romance blossomed. She followed him to Manchester in 2022 following his big-money move to United.

Things have not been going too well for the Brazilian on the field, however. He has made just one appearance all season, coming on as an injury-time substitution in United's defeat to Brighton last month, although he can expect more minutes against Barnsley on Tuesday.
