Otto Addo's second stint as Ghana boss has been promising, with two wins and a draw from four games, although the Black Stars were beaten by Nigeria in their first game back.

Ghana's recent form includes a dramatic 2-1 win over Mali and a 4-3 victory over Central African Republic, both in 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The latter was a goal-fest, with Louis Mafouta scoring a hat-trick for Central African Republic and Jordan Ayew responding with a hat-trick of his own for Ghana, while Abdul Fatawu also got on the scoresheet.

Ghana's disappointing group-stage exit at the last AFCON led to the sacking of Chris Hughton, but the Black Stars have since turned things around and are now looking to win three consecutive games in all competitions for the first time since July-August 2022.

The hosts are also unbeaten against the visitors, having won and drawn two of their previous four meetings.

Angola go into this match on a high after winning the COSAFA Cup in July, their fourth triumph in the competition.

Pedro Goncalves' men were unbeaten throughout the tournament, culminating in a 5-0 win over Namibia in the final, with Victor Pedro Nanque scoring a brace.

The Palancas Negras will be seeking their 10th AFCON appearance, having reached the quarter-finals of the last edition before losing to Nigeria.

Angola's qualifying record for the last AFCON was mixed, with two wins, three draws and one defeat, and they will be hoping to improve on that in a group that also includes Niger and Sudan.
