Will Fish has officially completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Cardiff City.
The Manchester Evening News exclusively revealed on Monday that Fish was joining Cardiff on a permanent deal and he has now signed for the Welsh club on a four-year contract.
United have received a £1million fee for Fish, potentially rising to £3m. They will receive a 30% fee of any future transfer and the move brings an end to his 14-year association with his boyhood club.
Last month, the MEN were the first to report that Fish had received loan and permanent offers from several Championship sides. Fish spent last season on loan with Hibernian and made 45 appearances, which meant he was desperate to continue to play regular football.

Fish believes his loans away from United have been crucial to his development and he understood that he needed to leave Manchester to push on in his professional career. United insiders considered Fish's temporary spell with Hibernian as one of the most successful loans they had arranged and he is departing with the best wishes of staff.
The youngster always hoped for a permanent transfer away from United this summer, but he was taken on the pre-season tour of the USA and picked up an injury against Liverpool. Fish was stretchered off in the defeat to Liverpool in South Carolina, but the injury wasn't as bad as initially feared, which has allowed him to recover and agree a move to Cardiff.
United have signed Leny Yoro for €62m plus €8m in add-ons and Matthijs de Ligt for €45m with a potential further €5m and were happy to sell Fish on a permanent transfer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave Fish his United senior debut when he was just 17 years old against Wolves at Molineux Stadium on the final day of the 2020/21 Premier League season. The centre-back is the latest departure from United following Fauncdo Pellistri's transfer to Panathinaikos earlier this week. United have received a €6m fixed fee with up to €2m in performance-related bonuses for Pellistri and have inserted favourable clauses in the deal.
