Rayan Cherki of Olympique Lyonnais has attracted the attention of several top European clubs this summer, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. Moreover, the player is hoping that the Parisians revisit the interest they have in him.
Foot Mercato recently reported that PSG had renewed its interest in Cherki. Manager Luis Enrique and sporting advisor Luís Campos were keen on the young talent, with Enrique seeking another creative player. The report concluded that Cherki seemed a perfect fit for their plans.
Despite this, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG wasn’t planning to reopen talks for Cherki. The reigning Ligue 1 champions had shifted their focus to other priorities.
The latest information comes from L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi, who reports that Cherki hopes PSG will reignite their interest in him. While he’s received attention from Premier League clubs, he’s not keen on moving there at the moment.
Lyon is nudging Cherki towards the exit by keeping him out of first-team training. The 20-year-old finished the 2023-24 season with three goals and nine assists in 39 matches across all competitions.
