Rudy Gobert and Andrew Nembhard had to be separated before both players were ejected for an altercation during Monday's Pacers-Timberwolves game.

The Pacers went on to a dramatic 132-130 win thanks to a late Obi Toppin 3-pointer in overtime.

The incident that led to the ejections took place with 7:57 remaining in the third quarter. Nembhard, a Pacers guard, had the ball on the wing and drove toward the basket. He elbowed Timberwolves guard Mike Conley to gain separation.

Officials didn't call a foul, and Nembhard continued to drive. Gobert apparently didn't miss Nembhard's elbow to Conley. He waited in Nembhard's path before winding up and delivering an elbow of his own.

Gobert's shoulder slammed into Nembhard's face on the blow that sent Nembhard reeling. Nembhard responded by throwing the ball at Gobert.

The two then bumped chests before players and officials separated them. Nembhard continued to jaw in Gobert's direction after being pulled away. Here's the full sequence:

Officials reviewed the play and issued a flagrant 2 foul on Gobert for "making unnecessary and excessive contact with his arm and shoulder into Nembhard." Nembhard was issued a technical foul for throwing the ball at Gobert. The technical was his second of the game. Both players were ejected.

The Pacers led 66-58 at the time of the ejections. The Timberwolves forced overtime, but the Pacers rallied in the extra session for a 132-130 win thanks to a fadeaway go-ahead 3-pointer by Toppin with 3.5 seconds remaining.

Julius Randle's attempt to tie the game with a floater on on the other end missed the mark as the clock expired.

It marked the second time in a week that the Pacers won because of a late 3. Tyrese Halliburton was fouled on a made 3-pointer with three seconds remaining on March 11 against the Bucks. Halliburton's 3-pointer tied the game at 114, and he hit the go-ahead free throw to secure a 115-114 win.
