The Milwaukee Bucks could look to shake things up as they're barely over .500.

After climbing out of a 2-8 hole to begin the season, their progress has recently stalled, going 5-5 in their last 10 games.

The acquisition of Damian Lillard in 2023 was supposed to bring the Bucks back into title contention, but they've had just one first-round exit to show for it. Sports Illustrated predicts the Bucks cut bait and recoup some meaningful assets in a three-team deal featuring the Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings.

Bucks receive: Terry Rozier, Jamie Jaquez Jr., Malik Monk, Orlando Robinson, a 2028 first-round draft pick, a 2029 first-round draft pick swap, a 2030 first-round draft pick, and a 2025 second-round draft pick

Heat receive: Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, and a 2025 second-round draft pick

Kings receive: Jimmy Butler

Butler has informed the Heat that he wants a move, but the Bucks are a team he doesn't wish to be traded to.

Lillard preferred a trade to the Heat when he first requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers, so this trade allows him to go where he initially wanted to go, albeit without Butler.

For the Bucks, they add a few draft picks to their cache, enabling them to trade for different upgrades surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo or obtain young talent in the draft. Rozier and Monk have proven they can get hot in a hurry and can still take a significant amount of scoring pressure off of Antetokounmpo.

Jaquez has shown significant promise as an all-around forward who is capable of getting to the rim, shooting the three-pointer, and operating as a playmaker.

With Lillard set to turn 35 years old this offseason, now may be the time for the Bucks to cash in and give them assets who can help them win now and build towards the future.
