Manchester United will be without Victor Lindelof and Mason Mount when they take on Bournemouth at Old Trafford.Sunday's 14:00 GMT kick-off, which will not be shown live in the UK, is United's last game before Christmas.
Mount has been ruled out for "several weeks" after picking up an injury in our last Premier League game, a 2-1 win over neighbours City in the Manchester derby.
Lindelof, who started the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham, was taken off just before half-time and, although his problem will have to be assessed, head coach Ruben Amorim strongly hinted that the Sweden captain could be unavailable.
"You can see with Vic," said Amorim at his pre-match press conference. "Vic was recovering; trained really well, we push him, we make all the sprints that he should do before coming to a game.
"But the game is a completely different world, so they have to have more time to train. So, it's really hard. We try to manage that with rotation, but even with rotation is really hard to have all the squad."
That rotation included a change of goalkeeper at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Andre Onana is expected to return for the league campaign, while in attack, Amad once again showed his qualities by coming off the bench.
Jonny Evans replaced Lindelof and was handed his first start since Amorim's first game in charge, a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town. Evans scored his first United goal in a decade in the 4-3 defeat.
Matthijs de Ligt and Marcus Rashford were left out of the squad, and Amorim was again asked about the latter during the briefing, when he was asked if the striker would be available for selection.
“Yes, of course," said the boss. "It's the same thing [why he did not feature against Spurs]."
De Ligt was absent in the capital due to illness.
Andoni Iraola has completed his media duties ahead of the Old Trafford clash.
The Cherries boss has no new concerns ahead of the trip north, meaning Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson are unlikely to be in doubt.
However, the visitors will be without Julian Araujo, Marcos Senesi, Alex Scott, Marcus Tavernier and Luis Sinisterra.
On United, after beating us 3-0 in this fixture last term, Iraola said: "I think they are different. They play in a different way, a different system, a different approach to the games. I think they keep the games more under control. They have raised their possession they have on the ball and they have really good patterns.
"If we allow them to dictate the game, to be the team taking the decisions on the ball, it is going to be really difficult as I think they are playing really well."
