Jack Grealish has announced that he's back in action for Manchester City after a spell on the sidelines that also saw him miss out on England duty.
Grealish was notably absent from Manchester City's Champions League squad in late October during their clash with Sparta Prague. Despite this, England interim manager Lee Carsley surprised everyone by including the 29-year-old in his final squad for the Three Lions' Nations League matches. This decision caused a bit of a stir, especially as City manager Pep Guardiola had already said that Grealish wouldn't be fit until after the international break.
After a medical evaluation, Grealish was one of nine players to withdraw from Carsley's squad so he could have enough time to recover. After weeks of rehab, Grealish has started training with his Manchester City teammates, he revealed on Instagram.
John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Kevin de Bruyne are also back in training with Grealish, which will be a big boost to manager Pep Guardiola.
City have a big challenge ahead of them in their upcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. The North London side knocked City out of the Carabao Cup and will be looking to do it all again at the Etihad on Saturday.
Guardiola will use the international break to reset and recalibrate his team's strategy after an unprecedented run of four consecutive defeats. Grealish's return could be a key move in breathing new life into the Cityzens.
