Official : Since Villarreal midfielder Baena was injured in the match against Denmark, the Spanish team decided to recruit Atletico Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios as a replacement.

Barrios is 21 and plays as a midfielder. He started out at Atlético Madrid's youth academy and has played 70 games for the first team. He's a regular in the Spanish U21 and U19 teams. This summer, he represented Spain in the Olympics as a main player and won the Olympic gold medal with the team.

The Atlético de Madrid player, who was currently with the U-21 team, will join the team in Santa Cruz de Tenerife this Saturday, November 16. Pablo Barrios arrives to reinforce the team for the last match of the group stage of the Nations League.

The midfielder could debut with the Absolute against Switzerland at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López, the last match of the year for the national team.
