Ademola Lookman continued his impressive form for Atalanta, scoring in the 2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart on matchday four of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night at MHPArena
The Super Eagles forward grabbed the goal in the 51st minute of the game, with Odilon Kossounou winning the ball high up the pitch, and Charles De Ketelaere did brilliantly to get into the box.
The Belgian midfielder then fed the ball to the onrushing Lookman, who slotted the ball home with a one-time effort to score for the fifth time in the last four games.
Marco Brescianini replaced the 2024 Ballon d'Or nominee six minutes before stoppage time, and Nicolo Zaniolo rounded up the scoring, pouncing on a mistake by a Stuttgart defender and putting the ball home with a nice finish
His goal tonight has further cemented his place as the Serie A player with the most goal contributions across all competitions in 2024.
In 13 games across all competitions this term, Lookman has found the back of the net eight times and has registered five assists.
Expectedly, the 27-year-old was included in the Super Eagles squad to face Rwanda and Benin in back-to-back games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
