Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, has reportedly held secret meetings with lawyers in which divorce from the Manchester City star has been discussed.
Kilner continues to mull over her options after seeing long-term partner Walker father two children with his former mistress Lauryn Goodman. The England international defender had been hoping to save his marriage, but it may be beyond repair.
There have been suggestions that Kilner, who has four children with Walker, is looking to land around half of her husband’s supposed £27 million ($35m) fortune. No decision on a parting of ways has been made as yet, but legal advice is said to have been sought.
A source has told The Sun: “Annie is prepared to go through with it. She isn't messing about and has spoken to lawyers about what the future looks like. Divorce has been an ever-present threat all year but things are starting to come to a head. She doesn't have to go through with it, of course, but it's always there as an option."
Walker and Kilner separated when it emerged that Goodman had given birth to a second child. Revelations regarding that relationship continue to be made public, as former Love Island star Goodman gives her side of the story, and that is making it difficult for Kilner to see a happy, united future for her family.
