Erling Haaland has gone into the history books after becoming Norway's all-time top scorer following his brace against Slovenia.
The Manchester City striker scored in the seventh minute of Norway's Nations League clash with Slovenia on Thursday, as he notched his 33rd goal for his country. That puts the 24-year-old level with Norway legend Jørgen Juve. Haaland then went one better to take the record for himself with another goal just after the hour mark.
Haaland has been a goalscoring machine for many seasons now. He has bagged 34 goals in just 36 matches for Norway and in club football, he has scored 256 times in just 308 appearances. That is why he is arguably the best striker in the world and there is more to come from him.
Juve's Norway goalscoring record has stood since 1934, the last year he scored for his country. Now, former Borussia Dortmund star Haaland has finally broken a record that has stood for 90 years.
After the Slovenia game, ex-Red Bull Salzburg ace Haaland could feature for his country away to Austria on Sunday night. They currently sit top of their Nations League group (League B, Group 3), which also includes winless Kazakhstan.
