Per the Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in signing Gordon from Newcastle but any deal will likely have to wait until next summer. The England international is happy at St James' Park and there is no indication the club are willing to sell him before Friday's transfer deadline.
Nevertheless, sporting director Edu has included Gordon on a shortlist of potential future signings, having seen Liverpool linked with a swoop earlier this summer. Newcastle would like him to extend his contract and talks have been opened to that end, but it remains to be seen if he will put pen to paper.
Gordon thrived for Newcastle last season and scored 11 goals, while also registering 10 assists, leading to his inclusion in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024. Gordon has also already scored once this season.
Arsenal will likely be keeping tabs on Gordon throughout the season. Newcastle are next in action against Tottenham on Sunday.
