Shelbourne's head coach, Duff, might opt for the same starting lineup as in their recent draw against Cork.

John Martin has scored four goals for the hosts this season and is expected to play in the attacking third, alongside Kerr McInroy, who is also likely to start.

Evan Caffrey played in defense against Cork and is expected to do so again on Friday, with Harry Wood also set to feature in the starting XI.

For Shamrock Rovers, Daniel Cleary is back after serving his recent suspension.

Graham Burke has netted eight goals for the league leaders this season and will operate in an advanced role, with 16-year-old Michael Noonan expected to remain in the lineup.

Noonan has scored five goals in 20 appearances for Shamrock Rovers this season, and his striking partner is set to be Aaron McEneff once more.

Shelbourne possible starting lineup:

Healy; O'Sullivan, Caffrey, Wilson, Ledwidge, Coyle; Chapman, Lunney, Wood; Martin, McInroy

Shamrock Rovers possible starting lineup:
