Tottenham Hotspur will face either Inter or Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on Italian soil, as it is hosted at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.
The Stadio Friuli as it is known for UEFA sponsorship reasons, but the Bluenergy Stadium in Serie A, is the home of top flight team Udinese.
The winner of the Europa League and the Champions League holders face off in the European Super Cup, which traditionally kicks off the new season.
It is scheduled to be played in Udine on Wednesday August 13, 2025.
We know one of the sides who will be involved in that match, as Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United 1-0 this evening in Bilbao to lift the Europa League trophy.
It was their first piece of silverware in 17 years and their first European trophy since the UEFA Cup in 1984.
They will be up against either Inter or Paris Saint-Germain, depending on who wins the Champions League Final in Munich on May 31.
The Stadio Friuli underwent vast refurbishment work in 2016 and from 2018 has boasted a hybrid natural and synthetic pitch.
In 2023, it became the first stadium in Europe to be declared fully ‘green’ and carbon neutral.
