Fernando Muslera, Galatasaray's veteran goalkeeper, netted a crucial late penalty to seal a 3-0 win against Kayserispor, securing the club's 25th Turkish Super Lig title.

The Uruguayan star, who is set to conclude his 14-year tenure when his contract expires this summer, successfully converted the spot-kick past Bilal Bayazit in the 89th minute.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored the opening goal midway through the first half, while Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce settled for second place for the fourth consecutive season.

Galatasaray, recognized as Turkey's most successful club, maintains an eight-point lead over their Istanbul rivals with only two games left to play.

The club can now add a fifth star to their team jerseys, as each star is awarded for every five titles won.

Following Osimhen's 25th league goal of the season on loan from Napoli, Turkish midfielder Baris Yilmaz added a second goal shortly after, before Muslera's 89th-minute penalty.

In his 550th appearance for Galatasaray, Muslera appeared to offer a humble apology to Bayazit, who guessed the correct direction but couldn't stop the shot.

Muslera's teammates celebrated enthusiastically with him, and the victory ensures Galatasaray—whose only league defeat came against Besiktas in March—qualifies for next season's Champions League group stage.
