Bayern Munich trailed 2-0 against RB Leipzig by the 39th minute but fought back to lead 3-2 when Leroy Sané scored in the 83rd minute. However, Yussuf Poulsen's goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time gave Leipzig a draw and delayed Bayern's title celebrations.
Vincent Kompany's team secured the Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen's draw with Freiburg on May 4, marking their 12th championship in 13 seasons.
Despite drawing three and losing one of their last eight league matches, Bayern were fortunate that Leverkusen could not exploit their inconsistent form.
The Bavarians conceded 12 goals during that period but scored 21 times and achieved two clean sheets in their past three games.
Bayern narrowly defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 on January 11 and have won their last three encounters against them by a combined score of 6-2.
At home, Bayern's recent performances have been underwhelming, with two losses and one draw in their last five matches at Allianz Arena.
Borussia Monchengladbach drew 4-4 with Hoffenheim on May 3, leading 2-0 and 3-2 before Tim Kleindienst's 91st-minute equaliser salvaged a point.
That draw marked their second consecutive match conceding four goals, and they have allowed 14 goals in their last five outings.
Die Fohlen are five points behind sixth-placed RB Leipzig for the Conference League spot, but under Gerardo Seoane, they have already amassed 11 more points than in the 2023-24 season, earning praise despite the challenges.
While Seoane's leadership is commendable, his team remains winless in five games, including three defeats.
Borussia Monchengladbach have not won in their last three away games, with two losses, though they triumphed in their four previous road matches.
Bayern will miss key players like defenders Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, and Kim Min-jae, but having secured the title, they can manage these absences.
To address their defensive issues, Bayern may line up with Sacha Boey, Eric Dier, Josip Stanisic, and Konrad Laimer in defense, supported by midfielders Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic.
Without attacker Jamal Musiala due to a hamstring injury, Bayern could still field a potent attack with Michael Olise, Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané, and Harry Kane.
Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach will be without goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas and defender Marvin Friedrich due to injuries.
They might deploy goalkeeper Jonas Omlin behind a defense of Joseph Scally, Ko Itakura, Nico Elvedi, and Lukas Ullrich.
With forwards Alassane Plea and Nathan N'Goumou out, striker Tim Kleindienst could lead the line alongside Franck Honorat, Kevin Stoger, and Robin Hack.
Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:
Neuer; Boey, Dier, Stanisic, Laimer; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Muller, Sane; Kane
Borussia Monchengladbach possible starting lineup:
Omlin; Scally, Itakura, Elvedi, Ullrich; Reitz, Weigl; Honorat, Stoger, Hack; Kleindienst
