Inter Miami is set to return to Chase Stadium this weekend after a disappointing trip to Vancouver, where they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Whitecaps in their first-ever Concacaf Champions Cup semi-final.

In front of a record crowd at BC Place, the home team performed impressively, with Brian White adding to his strong goal tally and Sebastian Berhalter scoring to secure a two-goal lead heading into the second leg in Miami.

Although their Champions Cup aspirations are now at risk, the Herons have maintained strong form in the league, remaining the only unbeaten team in MLS this season, with five wins and three draws from their first eight games.

Under Javier Mascherano, Inter Miami secured a 1-0 victory in their last league match against Columbus Crew, thanks to Benjamin Cremaschi's decisive goal in the 30th minute.

The team has split their first four home league games this season with two wins and two draws, but they lost 1-0 to this opponent at the same venue in 2023. Mascherano might need to rotate players with the upcoming second-leg match against Vancouver in mind.

Meanwhile, FC Dallas arrives in Miami with confidence following a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Minnesota United last week, extending their unbeaten away streak to five games.

Since the start of the 2025 MLS season, Los Toros have been formidable on the road, earning nine points from five away games (two wins, three draws, no losses) – the best in the Western Conference and tied for third overall in the league.

During this unbeaten run, FC Dallas defeated Houston 2-1 and Real Salt Lake 1-0, while drawing 3-3 with the Rapids and 1-1 with Atlanta before facing Minnesota.

However, new coach Eric Quill faces the challenge of improving home results, as his team has only one win from four matches at Toyota Stadium this season, though that issue can wait.

Inter Miami was active in the MLS Primary Transfer Window, highlighted by the signing of defender Maximiliano Falcon, while Finnish winger Robert Taylor unexpectedly moved to Austin FC on deadline day.

As noted, Mascherano may opt to rest some key players this weekend, while David Ruiz, Baltasar Rodriguez, Ryan Sailor, and Federico Redondo are sidelined due to injuries.

Petar Musa has had an outstanding start for Dallas, contributing six goal involvements in eight games, but he missed the last match with an ankle injury and is a major doubt for this one.

If the Croatian forward cannot play, he will join other injured players on the sidelines, including Leo Chu, Marco Farfan, Geovane Jesus, Sebastian Lletget, and Enzo Newman.

Inter Miami possible starting lineup:

Ustari; Weigandt, Aviles, Falcon, Alba; Cremaschi, Busquets, Picault, Segovia; Messi, Suarez

Dallas possible starting lineup:

Paes; Moore, Abubakar, Urhoghide, Norris; Ferreira, Ramiro, Show; Perinho; Jilio, Farrington
