Parc des Princes

PSG vs Le Havre

Match preview

The title may be in the bag, but there is still plenty for PSG to play for this season as they look to make history in a number of competitions.

Most will be focused on the fact that they are on the verge of an unprecedented treble if they can beat Reims in the Coupe de France final and reach the last four of the Champions League, but there is still a huge achievement to be made in Ligue 1.

Enrique's men are still unbeaten after 28 games and are just six games away from becoming the first club in French top-flight history to go an entire season without losing.

Nantes hold the record for the longest unbeaten start to a campaign at 32 games, but given their complete domination of the league this season, this hungry PSG side will be determined to achieve immortality.

Indeed, Nantes are one of only two clubs to have taken anything from the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1 this season, with Enrique's men taking 38 points from a possible 42.

Last weekend's postponed clash with Nantes will now take place on Tuesday, with PSG now having three league games before they face Arsenal in the Champions League semi-finals.

PSG can claim that the extra days of preparation were crucial in getting them over the line against Aston Villa on Tuesday, but Enrique will be furious that his side had to work so hard after going 5-1 up on aggregate, only to be beaten 5-4 after a spirited Villans fightback.

PSG were beaten 3-2 on the night, but that means their only two defeats since November have both come in Champions League matches in which they progressed anyway.

That leaves Le Havre with little chance of doing anything here as heavy underdogs, with PSG looking to make it 10 Ligue 1 wins in a row for the first time since the 2018-19 season.

PSG have only lost once at home to Le Havre in their history, back in 1998, and the Parisians have kept a clean sheet in 15 of their 31 Ligue 1 encounters.

Enrique's men came from behind to seal a 4-1 win in the reverse fixture in August, but Le Havre drew 3-3 here last season and were unlucky not to take all three points after leading 3-1 in the final 12 minutes.

Morale will be low in the visitors' camp, however, as they come into this game on the back of a humiliating 5-1 home defeat to Rennes last weekend.

Prior to last weekend, Didier Digard's men had picked up crucial victories over Montpellier and Nantes to lift themselves out of the bottom three, but the hammering they received at the hands of Habib Beye's men sent them back down to earth.

Le Havre are still three points clear of the automatic relegation spots, but with such a difficult fixture coming up, it is hard to see them catching up with Reims, who are two points above them in 15th.

A goal difference of minus-30 could also prove problematic if the relegation battle remains as tight as it currently is, and Le Havre must stop conceding goals with such regularity as no Ligue 1 club has conceded more in 2025 (33).

Four of Le Havre's final five games are against clubs currently in the top six, and with 12 defeats from 14 games against top-half sides this season, relegation fears are growing.

Team News

With three league games to go before the Champions League semi-final, Enrique could rest most of his big guns for at least the next two games as they look to remain unbeaten this season.

Lee Kang-in is likely to come off the bench for both legs against Villa after returning from injury, giving Enrique a healthy PSG squad to choose from.

Bradley Barcola is one player who has a good record against Le Havre in a PSG shirt, having scored in his last two meetings with the club, and when he has scored for the club, they have not lost in 19 previous meetings.

Le Havre's Yanis Zouaoui suffered a frustrating injury just 20 minutes after coming off the bench in last weekend's 5-1 thrashing of Rennes, meaning he will miss this one.

Zouaoui will be joined on the sidelines by long-term absentees Yann Kitala and Andy Logbo, while Antoine Joujou is also struggling with an ankle problem.

Holding midfielder Abdoulaye Toure, meanwhile, has been in scintillating goalscoring form, netting five times in his last five appearances for Le Havre to become the club's top scorer with eight goals this term.

Possible starting lineup

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:
