Early in the evening this Friday (18th), Santos used its social media to confirm Neymar's new muscle injury.

In the statement, the Peixe stated that, "after imaging exams, a lesion was found in the semimembranosus muscle" of the left thigh. Santos also informed that the Number 10 has already started treatment at CT Rei Pelé.

In the official note, the club made a point of emphasizing that Neymar's "new muscle injury is not related to the previous one, in another muscle."

Neymar felt the injury last Wednesday (16th), in the first half of Santos' 2-0 victory over Atlético-MG, at Vila Belmiro, during the fourth round of the Brasileirão.

However, the club did not provide an estimated recovery time.

After recovering from a muscle injury and still in training to gain muscle mass, the player Neymar Jr returned to the games and, in the first half of Santos FC's victory over Atlético MG, felt new discomfort in the left thigh, underwent imaging exams, and a new injury was found, now in the semimembranosus muscle. The Number 10 of the Peixe has already started treatment at CT Rei Pelé and, regarding the previous injury, in another muscle, there was no recurrence.
