Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted Kai Havertz could return before the end of the season.
The German released a video no Thursday of him back in the gym as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring problem that was due to keep him out for the end of the season.
Should Havertz be sidelined for the same timeframe as Bukayo Saka's injury, the German would be in line to return for the final game of the Premier League season.
Arsenal could also have a Champions League final after that.
"Let's see. Every injury is the same. The mindset of those two players [Saka and Havertz] is very similar. Great injury history, work ethic, desperate to get back as quick as possible. A great medical staff to look after them.
"Hopefully we can have him, but let's wait. But the last stage of the rehab, it's when you can understand better to make that last step."
Arsenal's next game is against Brentford, live on Sky Sports' Saturday Night Football and Arteta confirmed Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are both fit after coming off with knocks.
"Dec and Bukayo are both fit. It's a matter of two kicks, and they recovered well.
"Riccy [Calafiori] is progressing really well, but a timeline is difficult. He needs to step up, because he needs to have people around him and how he reacts to that. He's in a good place."
