Inter Milan will face off against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie later this evening.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, around 4,000 Nerazzurri fans will attend the match in Munich.
The stakes are high for Simone Inzaghi and his team ahead of tonight’s game at the Allianz Arena.
Indeed, the reigning Scudetto holders have often struggled at this stage of the competition.
For context, four of Inter’s seven previous quarter-final appearances have resulted in elimination.
Therefore, there’s a sense of trepidation surrounding this titanic clash. Inter Milan will enjoy support from 3,400 fans in the away sector. Furthermore, around 600 will attend the match scattered across the stands.
Inzaghi’s charges need every encouragement they can get amid an injury crisis and a minor form slump. Indeed, last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Parma derailed Inter’s Serie A title quest.
However, there’s no time to dwell on the past, with European glory on the line in Munich.
