Anthony Elanga's breakaway goal against his former club earned high-flying Nottingham Forest a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League on Tuesday.
The Swede, who left Old Trafford two years ago to make way for big-money signing Antony, played as if he had a point to prove at the City Ground, scoring the victor after running two-thirds of the way down the pitch in the fifth minute.
Diogo Dalot's first-half header struck the crossbar and substitute Mason Mount fizzed a late effort wide, but otherwise the underachieving visitors once again lacked the cutting edge needed to turn around their miserable campaign.
The win keeps Forest's remarkable run of form going, with Nuno Espirito Santo's third-placed side now eight points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea, while United's first league defeat in five matches leaves them 13th in the table.
Forest's 3-2 win at Old Trafford in December marked their first league double over United since 1991-92 under Brian Clough.
It was a comfortable victory for Forest, who moved a step closer to returning to Europe's elite club competition next season for the first time in 45 years.
United, meanwhile, suffered their 13th Premier League defeat, their second-most in a single season in the competition and one short of their record of 14 in 2023-24.
