Heaven had followed up his impressive performances against Arsenal and Real Sociedad with a relatively flawless opening 45 minutes in the East Midlands.
However, a painful-looking coming together with Foxes striker Patson Daka left the 18-year-old in agony early in the second half.
Heaven took five minutes to be helped off the pitch, as he was replaced by Toby Collyer.
Amorim doesn’t yet know the full extent of the issue and says Heaven will have to be checked over in the coming days.
“Well, we have to evaluate during the week,” the boss explained in his post-match interviews. “He's a young kid, he doesn't know how to explain what he's feeling, so it's hard for us to know something.
“He's a bit a little bit more calm now, but we have to assess during the week. But he's doing a great job and it's a shame if he has something for quite a long [time]. We wish him all the best.”
Heaven was making his fourth appearance for United, after joining from Arsenal during the winter window.
This was his first Premier League start, three days after he caught the eye on his European bow at Old Trafford, and the timing of the injury is unfortunate given his recent rise to prominence.
“Yeah, he already did that [showed promise] against Arsenal and today, and against Real Sociedad,” Ruben added.
“Today was for me the most difficult game for him, because he plays so well against Real Sociedad, and we expect always for these young kids to relax a little bit.
“But he was so focused and he played quite well, so let’s hope for the best.”
United were missing four central defenders for the trip to Leicester, with Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Leny Yoro all sidelined.
Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Luke Shaw were also missing, as the Reds ended the game with debutant Harry Amass at left wing-back.
