The final blow for the Vitor Roque operation in Brazil. According to several Brazilian media and Spain's 'Sport', Palmeiras have had their way.
Vitor Roque is going to sign a five-year contract worth 2.5 million euros gross per year with Palmeiras.
It is a perfect deal for Barça, who will recoup the 30 million euros they invested in him from Athletico Paranaense a year ago.His sale will also free up funds for them to make important signings, such as Iñigo Martínez.
Palmeiras, for their part, were able to secure the services of a 19-year-old striker just before the transfer window closed.
Vitor Roque, who has been training with Real Betis in recent weeks, will not be wearing the green and white again.
Betis will be without a useful striker, but will receive 30% of Abde's passes, increasing their ownership of the player from 50%.
The striker leaves Spain with a sour taste in his mouth after scoring just 9 goals in 49 appearances for Barcelona and Betis.
Is this the start of a new era for Vitor Roque? Only time will tell, but Verdao already has reason to celebrate.
