Dundee Utd vs Hibernian
Match preview
Dundee United are enjoying a strong first season back in the top flight of Scottish football, having won the Scottish Championship title last season, as they currently sit fourth in the table.
The Tangerines made a particularly impressive start to the campaign, winning nine, drawing seven and losing just four of their opening 20 league games, but their form has ebbed and flowed since then.
Jim Goodwin, in charge since March 2023, has guided the side to just two wins from their last eight games in all competitions, suffering six defeats in that time.
However, Dundee Utd ended a four-match losing streak in their last outing, beating Motherwell 1-0 thanks to Sam Dalby's 31st-minute goal - his 12th of the season.
Looking to build on that result and consolidate their position in the top six, just seven points clear of eighth-placed Hearts, Dundee Utd take on fellow top-six contenders Hibernian.
Hibs have endured a season that can be divided into two contrasting halves, having spent much of the campaign in the relegation zone before going on a magnificent run in recent weeks.
David Gray's men were bottom of the table after 16 games with just 12 points from just two wins, six draws and eight defeats, but they have risen rapidly since.
Hibernian are now fifth with 37 points from nine wins, 10 draws and eight defeats after 27 games, having won seven and drawn four of their last 11 league games.
Their most recent result was an impressive 2-1 win over leaders Celtic, a result that will give them plenty of confidence going into this game.
Hibernian, on the other hand, have struggled on their recent visits to Tannadice Park, failing to register a win since December 2021 and losing all three of their last trips.

Team News
The hosts will be without the services of Craig Sibbald, who has been out since October with a groin injury and is not expected to return until early March.
Ross Docherty is also a doubt for Dundee Utd after the captain was forced off in the 33rd minute of the win over Motherwell, meaning Luca Stephenson could start.
For the visitors, Thody Elie Youan is out until early March with a foot injury that has kept him out of action since early January.
Kieron Bowie is unlikely to feature after coming off with an injury in the win over Celtic, meaning Mykola Kukharevych could start in his place, while the rest of the team from that game is likely to remain unchanged.
Possible starting lineup
Dundee United possible starting lineup:

Hibernian possible starting lineup:
