Anthony Edwards missed the All-Star Game due to a groin injury, but he was still present to hang around other big names in the NBA.

As Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving infamously demonstrated during the 2019 All-Star weekend, players may talk about playing with each other someday during the festivities.

That seemed to be the case for Edwards and Durant, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.

"We saw some video of him and KD hanging out spending time together," Krawczynski said. "They are good buddies, and I'm sure that they spoke a lot and enjoyed each other's company, and I would not be surprised at all if Ant was saying 'Hey hang in there big guy, we're coming, we're gonna make a run at you again this summer."

Durant has been linked to the Minnesota Timberwolves before, given his strong relationship with Edwards.

Minnesota may have to jump through some hoops to acquire Durant because they're a second-apron team, but they may not have to give up much in value due to a couple of circumstances.

"I would expect the price to drop considerably on Kevin Durant if, again if he is made available in a trade because he has one year left on his deal, so we'll see what happens with the Phoenix Suns down the stretch if they do not play well," Krawczynski said.

Julius Randle would almost certainly be moved in any scenario, but the Timberwolves would imaginably want to hold onto Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels to keep their defensive identity intact.

Adding Durant next to Edwards, Gobert, and McDaniels would instantly bring this team back into championship contention.
