Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has given his verdict on the first starts for Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio since joining the club.
Both players signed in the January transfer window and enjoyed cameos off the bench against Tottenham in the FA Cup and Ipswich in the Premier League, before being introduced into the starting line-up for the 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Rashford threatened throughout and came close to scoring in the second half only to be denied by Ibrahima Konate, before being taken off in the 67th minute alongside Asensio.
Speaking on their performances, Emery said: "Getting better and getting minutes with confidence.
"A good feeling with the club, supporters and team-mates. They performed well for 65 minutes.
"Progressively they are helping us more."
