Latest News: Ruben Amorim hinted at injury and illness concerns in his squad without naming names. As well as suggesting United had "one or two [injury] issues", Amorin added that he has "one player also who is sick" - so any one (or more) of the names in the predicted line-up could be affected. The United boss did add that doesn't "have players back", so Lisandro Martinez (knee), Jonny Evans (muscle), Mason Mount (hamstring) and Luke Shaw (hamstring) look set to remain out. Goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton also missed last week's FA Cup tie against Leicester City. While Heaton was expected to make an instant return, Amorim's comment above may spell bad news for Altay. Alejandro Garnacho's positive impact off the bench against Leicester may heighten his chances of a start this weekend, while Joshua Zirksee's goal in the same game may boost his minutes - although the pattern with United's forwards seems to be bright cameo followed by awful starting XI performance. Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo are alternatives in the front three, with Diallo also a possibility at right wing-back if Amorim wants to ease Patrick Dorgu into Premier League life. The competition at wing-back could be alleviated a little by Noussair Mazraoui covering for Martinez at centre-half but even in that position there are decisions to be made, with Matthijs de Ligt an option.

Latest News: Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), James Maddison (calf) and Destiny Udogie (hamstring) look set to be available for selection this weekend, with Ange Postecoglou hinting that the first two had the greater chance of starting. The Spurs boss, indeed, made it clear that Vicario was his number one between the posts. Udogie may have to be content with a place on the bench instead as he was grouped more with Wilson Odobert (hamstring), Brennan Johnson (calf) and Timo Werner (hamstring) - who have also been back on the grass this week - in terms of return-to-play timelines. Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Radu Dragusin (knee), Dominic Solanke (knee), Cristian Romero (hamstring) and Richarlison (calf) remain out but a recovery date (two to three weeks) is in sight for all bar Dragusin, whose season is ended. Maddison could very well start over Lucas Bergvall, then, while Pape Matar Sarr is another midfield option. Even Archie Gray could feasibly operate in the engine room, with Ben Davies and Kevin Danso available at centre-half. Son Heung-min began the cup defeat to Aston Villa up top but we could see him and Mathys Tel swap positions, as happened towards the end of that tie.
