Bournemouth - currently seventh in the Premier League - are three points away from the Champions League places and could move closer to those spots if results go their way this weekend.
But boss Andoni Iraola, who is preparing his side for a south coast derby against Southampton, insists Bournemouth are not getting ahead of themselves.
"I think we are not there. I think we would like to be there but not today," he said.
"We are just trying to add points and focus in the same way, every game is a chance to add points and we will try to use the first chance we have which is tomorrow against Southampton.
"I think the results the last two months have been good. But this is because players are performing well and are giving as well as they have.
"They are showing it on a consistent basis and the demands of the competition are high and if we want to keep the position we are in, we have to continue."
