Manchester City

Out:AkanjiRodri

Doubts: Bobb 25%、Grealish 25%

Latest News: Jack Grealish and Manuel Akanji both picked up muscle injuries against Real Madrid in midweek, the former lasting only half an hour and the latter coming off at half-time. The news is bad for Akanji, who is out for 8-10 weeks, while Grealish has avoided serious injury but remains a big doubt for Gameweek 25. Rodri (knee) and Oscar Bobb (leg/ankle) are also on the sidelines, while Pep Guardiola hinted that Nico Gonzalez was still not 100% after his knock at Leyton Orient last weekend. The Newcastle match falls slap bang in the middle of the Champions League play-off double-header, so there is a chance that Guardiola could preserve injury-prone regulars like Nathan Ake, John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne for the rematch in Spain. New boys Abdukodir Khusanov and Omar Marmoush may well feature, then, with Matheus Nunes reprising his right-back role and the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan and, if fit, Gonzalez coming into the thinking in midfield, where Stones operated against Real. Rico Lewis is also an option, if his manager wants to go with an inverting full-back rather than the 'up-and-down' variety.

Newcastle United

Out:Joelinton、Lascelles

Doubts: Barnes 25%、Botman 25%、Burn 75%、Gordon 75%

Latest News: Jamaal Lascelles (knee) and Joelinton (knee) remain out, while the trip to Manchester City will likely come too soon for Harvey Barnes (thigh). There's good news on Anthony Gordon, who has trained this week after missing the cup tie against Birmingham City with a minor quad issue. Eddie Howe said he "should be fine". The updates on Dan Burn (groin) and Sven Botman (knee) are relatively positive, too, with scans revealing that the pair have avoided serious injury. Botman remains a big doubt for Gameweek 25 but Howe said Burn "has improved a lot very quickly this week" and will be "very close this weekend", so he may be fit enough to keep his place. Emil Krafth will be on standby to deputise at centre-half, while he may even start regardless if Howe retains the wing-back system he used against Arsenal in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg. That would see Joe Willock, Lewis Miley and Sean Longstaff again left frustrated. Kieran Trippier started over Tino Livramento against the Gunners, with Livramento then part of the glorified reserve XI in the FA Cup, so there's a bit of uncertainty at right-back/wing-back this weekend. Nick Pope's availability is muddying the waters between the posts, too, but Martin Dubravka has held off his challenge so far. Pope did start at Birmingham but as mentioned, it was effectively a second string taking to the field.
