Unai Emery has issued an update on Ezri Konsa's injury after the 2-1 win against Tottenham in the FA Cup.
Konsa started the fixture as Villa's only recognised centre back on the field but was forced off after 27-minutes, leaving them with Lamarge Bogarde and Boubacar Kamara as the central pairing in defence.
Both players predominantly play in midfield but were forced to fill in with Tyrone Mings and Pau Torres also out injured.
"We weren’t thinking to be playing against Tottenham with Bogarde and Kamara.
"Both are more central midfielders than centre-backs.
"Hopefully we can recover quickly Pau Torres and Tyrone Mings. As well Axel Disasi for next week if everything goes well. For Konsa, hopefully it is not a big injury."
Disasi signed on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day but was cup-tied for the fixture after already featuring for his parent club in the competition.
