Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Eric Garcia earned Barcelona a hard-fought 4-1 win at struggling Sevilla on Sunday, moving them closer to the top of the LaLiga table.
The win lifted third-placed Barca to 48 points, one behind second-placed Atletico Madrid and two behind leaders Real Madrid after their capital rivals drew 1-1 on Saturday.
Lewandowski gave Barca the lead from close range in the seventh minute, but Ruben Vargas equalised for the home side a minute later.
Lopez came off the bench to put Barca back in front two minutes after the break and Raphinha doubled their lead in the 55th minute with a thunderous strike from outside the area.
Five minutes later, Barca were reduced to 10 men when Lopez was shown a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on Djibril Sow, but the visitors held off Sevilla and added a fourth through Eric Garcia's 89th-minute header.
Real Madrid remain top of La Liga. They are 50 points clear of Atletico Madrid, who are second, and Barcelona, who are one point behind in third. The La Liga championship is still very much up for grabs.
