Real Madrid have fewer players to choose from in the Copa del Rey. According to the pre-match squad, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are all confirmed absentees against CD Leganes.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Belingham has a bruise after he received a knock, he will not be available tomorrow.

Bellingham and Vinicius both trained individually on Tuesday morning, but the Brazilian will be available against Leganes. This is good news for Real Madrid, which is plagued by injuries.

Kylian Mbappe will also miss the game.He has started training normally again today, he has a bruise on his knee and still need more recovery time.

What is worse,Real Madrid are facing another injury crisis in their backline.

After gradually being eased back into action over recent weeks, David Alaba has gone down with injury once again, following his lengthy recovery process from a serious knee injury.

The Austrian defender has suffered a hamstring issue in training and is now set to return to the sidelines for a further two to three weeks out of action, leaving Ancelotti short of resources.

German centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who joined Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal in the treatment room on Saturday, could be back in time for the return leg against Manchester City, but that remains a doubt.

It leaves Real Madrid with only Jesus Vallejo, who has played just 10 minutes this season, and Raul Asencio as natural options. Aurelien Tchouameni is likely to continue featuring as a makeshift option in the middle of defence alongside Asencio.

With the Madrid derby at the weekend, Ancelotti will make some trade-offs compared to this game so that they can face their city rivals at the Bernabeu with minimal losses.
